SARASOTA, FL – Sarasota and Manatee County business owners interested in receiving personalized coaching to grow an existing business may now apply for admission into the second round of “UEP on the Suncoast”, a coaching partnership between Suncoast Community Capital (SCC) and the Urban Entrepreneur Partnership (UEP), a program of the Kauffman Foundation. Kauffman is the world’s largest foundation devoted to entrepreneurship. Applications are now available at www.uepkauffman.org/suncoast.
Eligible applicants for the coaching initiative will either have an idea for a business, or be currently operating a for-profit or non-profit business (excluding religious or political organizations) in either county. Businesses that show the greatest potential to quickly improve profitability and create jobs will be prioritized for selection. Approximately 48 entrepreneurs will be served annually, and the current application period will select approximately 12 applicants for the second round of coaching, which will commence in mid-July.
