free tax assistanceVolunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program – IRS-certified community volunteers help clients access special credits, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC), to maximize their refunds or reduce their tax liabilities. Training is provided and multiple volunteer days and times are available. Tax sites are open from February through April 15th each year. volunteer computer classWorkforce Readiness Training with the Bridges to Careers Program – “Bridges to Careers” is a four-week program offered several times throughout the year in Manatee and Sarasota counties It helps the unemployed find gainful employment and those underemployed individuals seeking an opportunity to move up a career ladder to better care for themselves and their families. We need classroom assistants, practice interviewers, mentors and a photographer.  Please contact Jessica Ruter if interested 941-744-2666 ext 2 or jessica@suncoastcc.com.
